Taking card payments in Hitchin

Hitchin has operated as a key market town in North Hertfordshire since medieval times, expanding around its historic Market Place and St Mary's Church by the River Hiz. Today, independent retail, hospitality, and local services thrive alongside commuter trade heading to London and Cambridge via Hitchin railway station. From stalls in the square to cultural venues like Club 85 and summer gatherings during the Hitchin Festival, traders need fast, consistent card payments that handle high-volume spikes effortlessly.

Business Genie Payments supplies portable Teya card machines and payment tools designed for independent Hertfordshire businesses. Managed entirely by phone with founder Carl Daniel, onboarding is straightforward without complicated paperwork. Whether you run a counter service near Hitchin Priory, host evening gigs, or manage a sports clubhouse along Lucas Lane, Teya payment terminals keep queues moving, accept every card or mobile wallet, and offer fast daily settlement directly into your business account.

Stalls Trading at the Market Place

Outdoor stallholders around Hitchin Market Place need dependable payment hardware that endures all day. Teya Pro is built for quick contactless, chip & PIN and mobile wallet payments.

Bar Service at Live Music Venues

Independent venues like Club 85 face intense rushes at the bar between live music sets. Teya Pro card machines enable rapid contactless transactions, accept Apple Pay and Google Pay instantly, and allow staff to enter tips directly on screen, keeping drinks service fast and queues short.

Sports Clubhouses and Social Pavilions

Local organisations such as Hitchin Cricket Club at Lucas Lane often require flexible payment points for matchday subs and refreshments. Staff can take payments on the Teya Pro or use Teya Tap to Pay on a compatible smartphone, avoiding extra hardware costs while serving members efficiently.
