Festivals, outdoor gigs & events
One weekend, thousands of payments — planned by Carl Daniel & team
Festivals and outdoor events leave no room for a card machine that drops out. We plan your Teya setup before the gates open, and Teya's 24/7 support is there on the day.

Plan your event payments
Tell us the event and how many bars or pitches you run. We'll call you back to plan the kit and pricing.
Who we set up
- Festival organisers and promoters
- Outdoor gigs and concert series
- Bar and catering operators running several bars
- Street food traders and mobile bars
- County, agricultural and garden shows
- Sports events, race days and fan zones
- Christmas, food and craft markets
- Weddings, marquees and private events
Event-day problems, and how Teya handles them
The same things go wrong at every event. Here's what the Teya kit does about each one.
Thousands of phones on the same masts
Teya Pro switches between Wi-Fi and 4G on its own, and Tap to Pay turns a staff phone into another till. No card machine can promise signal on a packed site, so we talk through the site Wi-Fi and backups with you before the gates open.
No power at the bar or pitch
14+ hours of battery on Teya Pro covers a full trading day without running cables or a generator to every till.
Bar queues three-deep between sets
Teya Pro is built for quick contactless, chip & PIN and mobile wallet payments.
Groups buying rounds and food together
Split Bill is built into the machine — evenly or by custom amounts — and tips can be added on screen for bar staff.
Pitch fees, VIP tables and pre-orders
Payment links can be sent from the machine or the Teya app, so traders, hospitality guests and pre-orders pay before the day.
Staff and suppliers to pay straight after the event
Teya settles card takings the next working day as standard, and qualifying businesses can choose everyday or Instant Settlement options, with conditions and in some cases an extra charge.
Stock, staff and kit paid for up front
Business Genie Payments arranges business funding up to £1,000,000 for stock, staff and kit, subject to eligibility and approval.
Something goes wrong on the day
Teya's 24/7 human support line is open throughout your event, and we're a phone call away for anything account-related.
How we plan your event
From the first call to the Monday after — one point of contact the whole way through.
- 1
Tell us about the event
Dates, number of bars or pitches, expected crowd and how you trade now. A quick call or the form on this page.
- 2
We plan the kit with you
How many Teya Pro machines, where Tap to Pay backups make sense, and how each till will connect on your site.
- 3
Applications prepared properly
We prepare the paperwork with you so Teya's checks go smoothly. Approval is Teya's decision, so start well before your event.
- 4
Delivered and tested
Once Teya approves your application, it sends your machine and we help you get set up. Test payments are done before the gates open, not during the first rush.
- 5
Event day
Your team trades; Teya's 24/7 support is there for terminal questions, and we're on the phone for anything else.
- 6
After the event
Takings settle under your chosen settlement option, then we review what worked so the next event or season is planned around real numbers.

Larger events
Running several bars, a whole site or a season of events?

Questions event organisers ask
Will card machines work on a crowded festival site?+
Teya Pro switches between Wi-Fi and 4G automatically, and Tap to Pay on a phone gives you an extra payment point. On a busy site the mobile network can still struggle, so we check what Wi-Fi the site offers and plan backups with you before the event. Nobody can honestly guarantee signal on a packed field.
We only trade at a few events a year — is Teya still worth it?+
It can be. Teya quotes on how your business trades, and seasonal card turnover is part of that. Tell us your event calendar and we'll explain what the quotation includes, including any monthly charges, before you commit.
How many card machines do we need?+
It depends on how many tills, bars and roaming staff you run at peak. We plan it with you around your busiest hour, with Tap to Pay on staff phones as backup rather than buying extra hardware you'll rarely use.
How far ahead should we get in touch?+
As early as you can. Teya reviews and approves each application, and after approval it sends your machines — so leave time for checks, delivery and a test day before the event.
Can the traders at our event use Teya too?+
Yes. Each trader needs their own Teya account, as every business is checked separately by Teya. Organisers can point traders to us and we'll set each one up individually.
How quickly do we get the money?+
Teya settles card takings the next working day as standard, and qualifying businesses can choose everyday or Instant Settlement options, with conditions and in some cases an extra charge.
