Teya card machine feature
Payment Links: Take deposits and phone orders — straight from the card machine.
Payment links let you take a card payment from a customer who isn't in front of you. Create the link on your Teya card machine, the Teya App or the Business Portal, send it by text or email, and the customer pays on a secure checkout page in seconds.
Why it helps
- Cut no-shows. Take a deposit when someone books a table, a treatment, a room or a tour — before they turn up.
- No card numbers over the phone. Customers enter their own details on Teya's secure checkout, so you never write down or read out card numbers.
- Send it from the machine. No laptop needed — create and send the link from the same card machine you use at the counter, or from the Teya App when you're out.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay. Customers can pay the link with a card or a supported digital wallet on their phone.
- No website needed. Perfect for phone orders, invoices and selling through social media or WhatsApp.

Common questions
Is there an extra charge for payment links?
Teya's help centre says there are no extra costs for Pay by Link — you pay the standard transaction fees in your plan. Online webstore payments are a separate service.
Can I use it straight away?
Payment links are available to most Teya businesses once account verification is complete. If you don't see it, Teya's support team can check and enable it.
Can a link be used more than once?
Yes — you can make a link reusable, or single-use, and set it to expire or never expire.
How do I know it's been paid?
Each link has a status — active, completed or expired — that you can check on the card machine, in the Teya App or the Portal.
