Taking card payments in Market Harborough
Market Harborough is an active Leicestershire market town where independent commerce dominates. With over 87% of businesses in the Harborough district employing fewer than ten people, daily retail revolves around owner-operated stores. Trade concentrates around the pedestrianised square near the timber-framed Old Grammar School, along the Georgian upper High Street, and inside the St Mary's Place retail development. Whether catering to local residents or shoppers travelling across from nearby Northamptonshire, retailers rely on fast, dependable checkout systems to keep transactions moving smoothly during peak trading hours.
Business Genie Payments provides Teya card machines to support these independent operations by phone. Teya Pro is built for quick contactless, chip & PIN and mobile wallet payments. Dual Wi-Fi and 4G fallback ensures connectivity remains stable even during network drops. Teya settles card takings the next working day as standard, and qualifying businesses can choose everyday or Instant Settlement options, with conditions and in some cases an extra charge. With built-in tipping and multi-terminal configurations, managing payment hardware across single stores or several local sites remains straightforward.
Serving shoppers in St Mary's Place
Retail units within the St Mary's Place pedestrian development encounter consistent weekend footfall. Teya Pro is built for quick contactless, chip & PIN and mobile wallet payments. Dual Wi-Fi with automatic 4G fallback prevents lost sales if fixed internet connections drop.
Trading around the Old Grammar School
Stallholders and mobile traders operating near the open ground floor of the historic Old Grammar School require flexible, compact hardware. Teya Tap to Pay enables businesses to accept contactless transactions directly on a compatible smartphone, avoiding extra equipment while catering to customers browsing the pedestrianised town square.
Independent dining on the High Street
Restaurants and cafes occupying Georgian properties along the upper High Street need portable hardware for table service. The Teya Pro features integrated bill-splitting and tipping directly on the device, alongside a 14-hour battery that supports full lunch and evening shifts without needing a recharge.
