Taking card payments in Brighouse
Brighouse functions as a key commercial hub in Calderdale, positioned along the River Calder and close to Junction 25 of the M62. With rail connections on the Caldervale and Huddersfield lines, plus the canal basin on the Calder and Hebble Navigation, the town attracts regular local commuters and visitors. Retailers operate throughout the historic centre where the Lüdenscheid Link diverts heavy through-traffic away from narrow streets, keeping day-to-day trade moving steadily across retail, hospitality, and service premises.
Business Genie Payments supplies Teya card solutions tailored to these independent traders. Teya Pro is built for quick contactless, chip & PIN and mobile wallet payments. Because it features built-in 4G fallback alongside Wi-Fi, connection drops do not halt transactions. Teya settles card takings the next working day as standard, and qualifying businesses can choose everyday or Instant Settlement options, with conditions and in some cases an extra charge.
Matchday payments at Brighouse Sports Club Complex
On Russell Way off Bradford Road, Brighouse Rangers draw crowds across junior and senior rugby fixtures. Teya Pro is built for quick contactless, chip & PIN and mobile wallet payments.
Retail counters in the town centre
Shops on the streets framed by Lüdenscheid Link require fast, reliable point-of-sale hardware to keep queues moving during busy shopping periods. If Wi-Fi drops, Teya Pro can switch to 4G, although mobile coverage depends on your location.
Moorings on Calder and Hebble Navigation
Businesses servicing boaters and canal visitors near the Brighouse mooring basin often need to take payments outdoors or manage remote customer bookings. With Teya payment links, operators can request deposits over the phone or by message, while Teya Tap to Pay lets staff take quick card payments straight from a phone.
Card machines in Brighouse: common questions
Can our Brighouse business accept payments away from fixed broadband?
Yes. The Teya Pro card machine includes dual Wi-Fi and 4G fallback via an integrated SIM card. Whether you operate a shop along Bradford Road or trade near the canal basin, the terminal automatically switches to mobile network coverage if broadband fails, preventing interrupted sales.
How quickly do card takings reach our bank account?
Teya settles card takings the next working day as standard, and qualifying businesses can choose everyday or Instant Settlement options, with conditions and in some cases an extra charge. Instant Settlements ensure your turnover is immediately accessible for daily cash flow, stock purchasing, and managing supplier invoices.

Locally we most often help town centre shops, sports club bars, cafes and trade suppliers. Any business taking card payments in Brighouse can ask for a bespoke Teya quote based on its monthly card turnover.
