Taking card payments in Taunton

Taunton serves as Somerset's historic county town and commercial centre, drawing shoppers and visitors from across the county. Core retail converges around Fore Street, East Street, North Street, and the High Street, extending through the Orchard shopping centre and independent lanes like Bath Place. With major employers including the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office and Musgrove Park Hospital, alongside fixtures like Somerset County Cricket Club and Vivary Park, town businesses experience steady footfall from office staff, residents, and visitors attending regional events.

Business Genie Payments supplies modern card processing to help local shops, hospitality venues, and service trades take payments smoothly. Teya Pro is built for quick contactless, chip & PIN and mobile wallet payments. Teya settles card takings the next working day as standard, and qualifying businesses can choose everyday or Instant Settlement options, with conditions and in some cases an extra charge.

Match days by Somerset County Cricket Club

Cafés and pubs welcoming crowds on cricket fixtures need rapid payment processing to handle sudden rushes. Teya Pro is built for quick contactless, chip & PIN and mobile wallet payments.

Boutique retailers around historic Bath Place

Independent retail shops in Taunton's historic lanes require neat, reliable counter terminals. If Wi-Fi drops, Teya Pro can switch to 4G, although mobile coverage depends on your location.

Stallholders attending the Taunton Flower Show

Traders setting up at outdoor gatherings in Vivary Park cannot rely on fixed phone lines. Teya Tap to Pay on phone lets mobile traders accept contactless payments directly on a compatible smartphone with no extra hardware, or use the Teya Pro with 14-hour battery life and 4G fallback.
